Real-Time Quotes

A Real-time Quote provides an up-to-date price for a specific stock, ETF, or option contract. It also includes necessary information to help you make time-sensitive buy/sell decisions. We offer Real-time Quotes to all eligible Customers.

Real-time Quotes provide:

• An up-to-the-minute snapshot price for a stock, ETF, or option contract. Since Real-time Quotes aren't subject to 15- or 20-minute delays, you're able to make time-sensitive buy/sell decisions, as prices change quickly in the marketplace.
• A better estimate of your trade cost when you place an investment or place an option trade. A Real-time Quote is used to estimate the total cost of your trade prior to placing an order. This gives you a better estimate of the final execution price of the trade.

Currently, we only offer Real-time Quotes to non-professional investors. You are considered a non-professional investor if you meet all of the following criteria:

1. You're accessing Real-time Quotes in your own individual capacity and not on behalf of a firm, corporation, partnership, trust, or association
2. You plan to use the information for your own personal investment and not in connection with any trade or business activities
3. You aren't a securities broker-dealer, registered representative, investment advisor, futures commission merchant, commodities introducing broker or commodity trading advisor, member of the Securities Exchange or Association or Futures Contract market, or any owner, partner, or associated person of the foregoing
4. You aren't employed by a bank, insurance company, or an affiliate of either to perform functions related to securities or commodity futures investment or trading activity

If you do not meet all of the above criteria, you are considered a professional investor and are not eligible for Real-time Quotes.

Eligible customers can enable Real-time Quotes for all their accounts by following these steps:

1. Sign In to your ShareBuilder account
2. Go to Accounts > Forms & Applications > Real-time Quotes
3. You'll see some quick steps to confirm you're a non-professional user and enable Real-time Quotes for your accounts. You can also upgrade your pricing program to gain access to Premium Real-Time Quotes

We offer Real-time Quotes during the hours of 8 AM – 8 PM ET to every eligible customer who has enabled them. Customers who subscribe to the Advantage Pricing Program have access to Premium Real-Time Quotes 24 hours a day.

With Premium Real-Time Quotes, which are available to Advantage customers, you get access to real-time quotes when researching stocks, ETFs, and option contracts. Real-time charts are also available for stocks and ETFs.
