Recent IPOs are companies that have had their initial public offering within approximately the past 30 days. These stocks are available for trading in the regular stock markets, where sellers of the stock trade shares with buyers.
Upcoming IPOs list companies that have yet to have their initial public offering, but will do so within a matter of weeks. These companies will soon be distributing their stock to investors through the initial public offering process.
Once the IPO process is complete, the stock will be available for trading in the regular stock markets, where sellers of the stock trade shares with buyers.
These companies are (or will soon be) distributing their stock to investors through the initial public offering process.
Sharebuilder is not involved in every initial public offering (IPO) that is brought to market. IPO shares are generally only made available to clients who qualify and have an account with the broker who is doing the underwriting or have an account with one of the participating selling groups.
When a company wants to go public, it typically will hire an investment bank to act as the underwriter to execute its initial public offering. In order to distribute the IPO shares underwriters may enlist the aid of selling groups. A selling group is a group of investment banks or broker/dealers who assist in the sale of the shares. Occasionally Sharebuilder is part of a selling group to help bring a company’s IPO shares public.
If Sharebuilder is participating in an IPO, we in turn invite select, qualified customers to enter conditional offers.
