From time to time ShareBuilder may offer incentives to customers when opening a new account. Some promotional offers are available to all customers when opening a new ShareBuilder account, while others are specifically offered to the users of a ShareBuilder partner. A promotion code is a series of letters and/or numbers that identifies a specific promotional offer.
Note: In addition to promotion codes, ShareBuilder also distributes tracking codes. They are similar in appearance, but are used to gauge the effectiveness of a particular partner or web site and are not tied to a promotional offer.

Not all ShareBuilder account types are eligible for every promotion offered. For example, Traditional and Roth IRAs are not eligible for any type of cash promotion. In addition, some promotional offers are only available to users of a particular partner of ShareBuilder.
Please read all promotion details carefully to verify the terms of the offer and to make sure that your ShareBuilder account qualifies.
Generally, you must make an initial investment to qualify for the terms of a promotion. Once you have completed this step, it may take several weeks for the promotion to be fulfilled.

If you do not currently have a promotion code, watch for promotions that may be offered in the future! Promotion codes are generally found in emails or through advertising links, but they can be distributed in many other ways.
