Each pricing program combines a price point with access to online tools to create a plan that fits your financial goals. There are three pricing programs to choose from, each offering different features to help you meet your investing goals: Basic, Standard, and Advantage. The Basic Pricing Program is our entry-level pricing program, designed for beginners and infrequent investors. This program has no monthly subscription, $4 investments through your Automatic Investment Plan and access to real-time trades for $9.95. The Standard Pricing Program is our most popular program. When you subscribe to Standard, you get 6 automatic investment credits per month, discounts on additional automatic investments, and access to tools to help you track your portfolio, all for a monthly subscription of just $12. The Advantage Pricing Program is our premium program. Advantage subscribers enjoy 20 automatic investment credits per month and access to tools that allow you to monitor the performance of your portfolio, all for a monthly subscription of $20. When you select a pricing program, you can choose to either "Begin this month" or "Begin next month." If you choose to begin this month, you will have immediate access to your new benefits and you will pay your first monthly subscription on the following business day. If you choose to begin next month, your benefits will first be available at the start of the next month. Monthly subscriptions are collected on the first day of each month.
Once payment of the pricing program's monthly subscription has been initiated - either by reaching the beginning of the month or by enrolling - it cannot be stopped or reversed for that month. Any changes you make will apply to future months.
Note: All changes to the pricing program must be completed online by the account owner.
When you select a pricing program that requires a monthly subscription, you will be given two options for paying it. You can either pay this monthly subscription from your checking or savings account or with a credit card.
Note: You can only have one checking or savings account on file with ShareBuilder. You can change this account at any time, but please be aware that all future requests will be made from the account that is on file at the time the request is sent to your checking or savings account.
The monthly subscription for the pricing program is billed on the first day of each month. In addition, if you are starting a new pricing program, you have the option of beginning immediately, in which case you will be billed for your first month on the following business day.
If you are currently using a pricing program that has a monthly subscription and wish to cancel this selection, you can downgrade to the Basic Pricing Program. This program has no monthly subscription associated with it.
Note: When you downgrade your pricing program, you will receive your current pricing program's benefits for the remainder of month you have already paid for and will be billed at the lower rate (or not at all, if you're changing to Basic) for the following month.
